Blush

These blush colored jeans popped my way for $2 the last time I went thrifting (thanks for spotting them Emily) and I've worn them about three times in the past week!

Here I paired them with my go to shirt, the button up. And I really like the way they pair with this green fatigue jacket.

Probably the best thrift of the outfit are these Sebago docksiders.  I've been patiently looking and waiting for a pair of "boat" or "deck" shoes for the past year or more and I finally found a pair that were the quality I wanted and are like new and my size!

Pants: Mossimo-thrifted
Shirt: Lands End
Jacket: thrifted
Shoes: Sebago-thrifted
Watch: Michael Kors

Much gratitude and thanks to you all for your love, comments, prayers and continued support.

  1. Wonderful thrift finds! I had to laugh, as I just tried on my blush jeans and a top for future use and am still wearing them, mine are straight, not skinny's like yours. Love the shoes, I had Sebago boat shoes in my 20's and loved them.

    1. These may very well be left over from the 1980's, I remember loving them then in my preppy days...wait, I think I still may be in my preppy days:)

    1. I think location is the key to my thrift success...I live in a college town and teach at a university in another nearby town, so I get items from people that come from all over the country and world. My two main thrift stores are church operated and are very reasonable (my favorite has $1-$2 prices on most everything) and the other one does consignment, too. At the end of the spring semester they hold a huge two day sale where I recently scored some of these items. My limitation at that sale is many items are too young for a "women of a certain age" and I have to be pretty selective. But, they do get a lot of donations from an older clientele and that's when I get some really great quality items. I also frequent one Salvation Army store in another smaller town where I only go on Wednesday or 1/2 price day. I've had some good luck there, too, but mostly for my 5 yr old daughter. It's really in the frequency and just hitting it right and being selective...if you come north to CNY for a visit I'll take you to my haunts.

    1. And the best part, they are made in the U.S.A. I'm not sure if they are a unworn 1980's pair from someone's closet or if they are more recent but for $5.00 I know I got real quality and a pair of shoes I will wear a lot.
