A Great Day!

I broke out my white jeans before Memorial Day, gasp! added a graphic Tee, a blazer and gladiators for a fun and pulled together look.

I have had three good days in a row, a real blessing in a 14 day chemo cycle. I threw together this outfit and made a visit to campus. It was so good to see my colleagues and better yet to feel like my old self.

This was also the first chance I had to wear these like new Juicy Couture gladiator sandals I thrifted last fall for $2! Yeah for spring!

Striped out with floral

 Stripes on Stripes!

I managed to get dressed nicely another day this past week...big goals for me...and this is how it turned out!

The silk scarf is a newly thrifted Yves Saint Laurent! This outfit was driven by my red Minnie pants and everything else just fell nicely into place. And by nicely into place I mean an impulse buy...the jacket.  My daughter (a little shopper) and I were walking around our village on Friday afternoon, window shopping and such and I walked into a local boutique, Lillie Bean, spotted this on the rack, tried it on, and walked out wearing it!

I really think it will be a versatile and well used jacket this spring and summer.

Vintage Pendleton

Pre-surgery, pre-chemo, pre-alopecia...

This blazer, a 1970's vintage Pendleton is one of my favorites, it is so easy to throw on and look good in. Classic and timeless.

Just wanted to also give a shout out to the wonderful staff at Upstate Regional Oncology Center, Dr. Harrison,  Resident and a friend and also sweet Jenna...there are so many more, too many to mention that always make me feel comfortable, cared for and "special", as silly as that may sound. But, it works and I appreciate it all so much!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart...and thanks to all of you for your continued support and prayers, it what keeps me moving forward with a smile upon my face.

Parisian Chic?

I'm not completely sure what makes me think this outfit has a vibe of Paris in it but, for me: the stripes, the trench and the 'scarf-like beret' all read Parisian.

For me the trench is such a necessary closet staple, you can make so many outfits just work when you wrap one on!

This was a brave moment for me, I haven't felt very good about my "look" without hair and I am undecided about how to present myself. It seems the scarf wrap works the best, so here it is!

Leggings and leopard loafers finished off the look.

Dress, leggings and shoes: Target
Scarf: one of many in my closet...soon to see more?

Minty

I quickly threw this outfit on one morning last week to take my daughter to school. After I looked at it more closely I really liked the way it came together!

The mint cords kept me warm during this non-spring weather we are having but also keep everything looking fresh. I took pictures first with my Hunter's as I originally wore it and then took a shot in the house with my nude heels, more refined!

I picked up these pretty earrings from Target and they added a nice bit of sparkle.

My hair has since fallen out and I will post any old photos I have to keep up with the blog...and then you'll see me sporting hats and scarves and wraps, I just need to figure out how to make them look right and make the most of it! Thanks to everyone for all of your continued support, prayers and encouragement.
